RP connection

I've always advocated that a separation of OOC and IC should take place, a bit like the good ol' separation of church and state. But, lately I've come to realize, that the RP I enjoy the most, is where OOC is mixed into it.

I've had to rather reevaluate my position on it, and admit that mixing OOC and IC is not always a bad thing. Like anything else it is something that can be abused end turned negative, but when done right, it really adds a lot to the interaction. The people I enjoy RP'ing with the most, are the ones I feel some kind of connection to OOC. Early on in the course of RP, you can usually tell if you have a spark simply by virtue of the IC interactions. Later, if that spark carries over into OOC, well what do you know, I just got myself a new RP partner.

So, yeah, I mix OOC and IC, but only in ways I believe are positive and good. And you know what? I'm fucking loving it. The people who are closely associated with me IC, are OOC friends, lovers, and some I'd even refer to as family. And quite frankly, I wont have it any other way.
